On April 20th, 22 members of St. Peter’s Parish were admitted as a KofC Council in formation with number 16713 and known as "St. Peter's (Ottawa)" in district 92.

Then on April 21st, 22 members of St. Augustine Parish were admitted as a KofC Council in formation with number 16714 (16-7-14) in district 98.

In preparation for receiving the Charter for St. Augustine Council 16714, we are inviting fellow Knights and Parishioners past and present to ‘Retreat’ with us in consecrating Council 16714 to Jesus through Mary.

We can’t think of a better way to start our formation year as a KofC council than closing off this year’s council activities with a real Shout-Out to Our Mother Mary with a self-guided ‘retreat’ culminating in our council consecration to Christ on Saturday, June 17th the Feast Day of the Immaculate Heart at St Augustine Church, following Corpus Christi which is celebrated this year on Thursday, June 15th in our inauguration year as a council. The reciting of the Consecration will take place as a part of the Saturday morning mass. Saturday morning mass time to be confirmed.

Each person performs the ‘retreat’ wherever and whenever it best suits each person’s individual place and time of convenience. I just include this as part of my daily prayer time. Anyone can participate from any at any time of a particular day.

Ps. Does anyone know where we can get our hands on copies of Fr. Michael Gaitley’s 33 Days to Morning Glory to distribute to those who are participating without access to the internet?
